What Flex IPTV is
Flex IPTV, by the developer Artur Tagirov, plays M3U playlists on Apple devices. It supports a guide from an XMLTV file, recording of live streams, favourites, a viewing history, automatic reconnection and switching of subtitles and audio tracks. The iPhone and Apple TV app was updated in June 2026.
The Mac is covered by two separate Mac App Store apps, Flex IPTV PRO ($4.99) and Flex IPTV LITE (free). Both show version 1.5.1 from 3 February 2022 as their latest.
Why people look for an alternative
- No Xtream Codes login. Its listings mention M3U playlists only, and reviewers have asked for Xtream support. Without it there are no film and series sections by season.
- The Mac version is old. App Store reviews of it mention crashes and settings that reset.
- No Windows version.
- No Arabic among its fourteen languages.

Where Flex IPTV is the better choice
If you want to record live streams, or choose subtitles and audio tracks, Flex does both and TV Flow does neither. It is also the cheaper of the two, and it runs on iPhone and Apple TV.
Where TV Flow is the better choice
- Xtream Codes login, with films and series laid out as a library by season and episode.
- A Mac app that is updated, for Intel and Apple silicon, and the same app on Windows.
- Arabic and English, with a full right-to-left layout.
- Large lists made manageable: instant search, a quality filter, your own collections, and channels that would not play hidden for you.
TV Flow costs $19.99 once, after a three-day free trial.
