A GSE Smart IPTV alternative for Mac and Windows

For years GSE Smart IPTV was the player everyone recommended. Then the original apps left the stores, new “PRO” listings appeared in their place, and many people who had paid found they could not download it again. If you are here, you have probably met one of those problems.

The short answer

GSE Smart IPTV still exists as separate paid “PRO” apps, but its Mac version has not been updated since May 2022 and there is no Windows version. If you want a player on a computer that is maintained today, TV Flow is one, for both Mac and Windows.

What happened to GSE Smart IPTV

The original iPhone app and the original Android app, which had more than five million installs, are no longer in the App Store or on Google Play: both pages return “not found” today. In their place the developer, GSE Technology (droidvision), sells separate apps named GSE SMART IPTV PRO.

What matters to you is how current each one is:

  • Mac: last updated on 13 May 2022.
  • iPhone and iPad: version 1.0, released in November 2022 and not updated since.
  • Apple TV: last updated in October 2023.
  • Android: updated in 2026, so this is where the developer is still active.

Reviewers on the App Store report having to buy the app again after the old one disappeared, and messages to the support address going unanswered.

Is there a GSE Smart IPTV for Windows?

No. The developer has never published a Windows version. Pages offering “GSE Smart IPTV for PC” describe running the Android app inside an emulator.
